Rusty French ? Wish you knew some Spanish? Need to brush up on your German or Italian? It's never too late to learn a new language or improve your existing skills.
To find out how, you are invited to visit our exhibition marking the European Day of Languages in the heart of Victoria Station. The European Day of Languages is an annual event to encourage people across Europe to celebrate language, encourage language learning and promote intercultural dialogue.
On 25 September 2009, the European Commission is joining forces with language and cultural institutes to provide information on an array of languages, cultures, courses and qualifications. Our friendly team of language experts will be on hand between 7am and 7pm to talk to you about the languages you want to know more about.
You will also have the chance to win one of the many prizes that will be on offer by trying your hand at a language quiz or country scrabble.

We are surrounded by languages but do we make the most of this? Recent research suggests that up to 81% of British adults regret not having learned another language, be it just being able to ask for a beer in German or an ice cream in Italy, telling your new girl friend you love her in French or thanking a Spaniard in his own language.
To mark the European Day of Languages in 2009,the European Commission's office in the UK is arranging an exhibition offering information on language learning, different countries and cultures. Victoria Station, a communications hub between the UK and the rest of Europe, will provide the backdrop to the celebrations.
You are invited to visit Victoria Station (the exhibition will be in the main hall) on 25 September to discover more about the languages you are teaching or could be learning. This is your chance to find out what courses are on offer at the French, Italian or Goethe institutes or how to kick-start your Spanish for your next holidays.
Find out more about the work of the European Union and what's in it for you, talk to people from OCR (including Asset Languages) or the National Centre for Languages (CILT). With so many language and cultural institutes assembled together for one day only, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
